Grace Ethel Parks, 95, of Prince Frederick and formerly of Tracy's Landing passed away November 17, 2018. She was born August 14, 1923 in Annapolis to James and Viola (Armiger) Johnson. Ethel was raised in Tracy's Landing and attended Tracey's Elementary School and Southern High School, graduating in 1940. She also attended business school in Baltimore.

Ethel married William Parks January 23, 1941 and they lived on the Parks family farm. For the past 12 years Ethel has lived in Prince Frederick with her granddaughter. In addition to being a homemaker, Ethel worked as an accounting clerk with Prince George's County Office of Finance, retiring January 1, 1985 after 15 years of service. She was a lifelong member St. James' Parish in Lothian where she served on the Alter Guild and worked at church dinners and festivals. Ethel was an accomplished seamstress and loved to crochet. She also enjoyed cooking and canning and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband William C. Parks in 2008, granddaughter Pamela Lee Crandell and sisters Louise Turner Kiefer and Dorothy Johnson Sheckells. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Parks Moore of Pasadena, granddaughters Patricia "Trish" Couto and husband Wayne of Prince Frederick and Bonnie L. Lovelady and husband Randy of Trappe, MD, and great-grandchildren Joshua, Hannah, Justin, and Hope Couto and Wesley and Brody Lovelady. Arrangements by Rausch Funeral Home.
