Mary Martha Louise Carter, age 82, of Pomfret, Maryland, died October 30, 2018 at her home. Mary was the co-owner, with her husband, of Newtown Concrete Services for 50 plus years and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, Maryland. She worked at the Horseshoe Club Restaurant and was an avid Redskins fan and loved to travel with friends. She also worked at Waldorf Florist as a floral designer and was a housekeeper for the Thir & Cleaver families.

She was the daughter of Joseph K. Rosier and Mary Louise Cole. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Robert Theodore Carter, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Conrad L. Carter (Diane), Robert T. Carter Jr. (Lillian), Jerome A. Carter, Ignatius M. Carter (Denise), Thaxton A. Carter (Julia), and Timothy S. Carter; her daughters, Amy C. Barnes (Charles Jute), Deborah A. Thomas (Calvin), Shelia A. Clark (Kitwell), Lisa M. Carter (Roscoe), Pamela M. Simms (Bradley), and Cherry M. Fluker (Michael); her brothers, James Rosier, Bernard Rosier, Steven Rosier, and Raymond Rosier; and her sisters, Dorothy Newman and Emma Jean Yates. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Friends received on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 9AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
