Ivar Sigurdsson, age 73, of North Beach, MD formerly of Rosehaven, MD passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018, at the Cadia Healthcare Center in Annapolis. Ivar was born in Reykjavik, Iceland November 20, 1941 to the late Thrainn and Jonina Sigurdsson. As a child, he and his parents came to New York and settled in Waukegan, IL. After graduating from high school, Ivar completed four years of college and graduated from the University of Waukegan with a degree in accounting. After college he made Washington D.C. his home.

In 1969 he married Marianne Sigurdsson and opened his own accounting firm. He was a member and past president of the Maryland Society Of Accountants, he also served on the board of education granting scholarships. He was also a member of NSPA, National Society of Public Accountants.

His hobbies included playing golf, traveling back home to Iceland, participating in karaoke, working crossword puzzles, playing cribbage and chess. He was an avid fan of the, Green Bay Packers and the Washington Redskins. His favorite pastime was spent with his grandchildren. They brought great joy to him and together they made many treasured memories.

Ivar was the beloved husband of the late Marianne Sigurdsson and the loving father of Anja Sigurdsson. He was the devoted grandfather of Eric Winter, Emma Longfellow, Wade Hampton Price III. Arrangements by Lee Funeral Home.
