Mr. Knott was an Asphalt Installer for 30 years with Coleman Paving Company of Bowie, MD. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD. He He enjoyed drag racing and football. Loved his kids.

He is son of the late Joseph Leroy Knott, Sr., and the late Mary Frances Baker Knott.

Predeceased by his parents and one son, Terrell Leon Knott.

Survived by his wife, Joan Swann Knott, one son, James Swann of Charles County, MD two daughters, Lazana Dee Brooks of Bowie, MD, and Shanta D. Ross of Charles County, MD, one brother, Joseph Leroy Knott, Jr., of La Plata, MD, five sisters, Catherine Louise Knott of La Plata, Emogene Knott of La Plata, Grace M. Knott of La Plata, Gay M. Knott of White Plains, and Gayle L. (Michael) Johnson of Pomfret, MD, two aunts, Grace Smith and Agnes Farmer, special niece Kayla Johnson and other nieces and nephews.
