Evelyn H. "Evelyene" Habib, 87, of Owings, MD passed on Wednesday August 22, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. Habib for twenty nine years. She was born in Lebanon a daughter of the late Elias and Ajiya(El Kaim)Abou Kassim. She immigrated to the United States when she was nineteen years old. She lived in Washington, DC and St. Mary's County, MD before moving to Owings, MD.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing and was known as a very good seamstress. She was also very talented at knitting, crocheting, and needle point. She loved to shop, miniature golf, gardening, decorating, traveling, and cheering for the Redskins. Her four daughters were her life and she enjoyed spending her time with them and their families.

She is survived by four daughters; Adele Traylor, Mary Ann Habib (Fiance-Theodore Dugone), Barbara Grooms (Kevin), and Louise Habib-Mundo (Joseph),three grandchildren; Jenna Grooms (Kelly), Christopher Traylor (Fiance-Kiersten), and Nicholas Grooms, two great-grandchildren; Taylor and Madison Grooms.

Friends may call on Monday August 27 at 10:00am for a viewing followed at 11:00am by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 8816 Chesapeake Ave., North Beach, MD. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Arrangements by Lee Funeral Home.
