Alice Isabel Rigby, 72 of Leonardtown, Maryland died November 11, 2006 at her residence.She was born May 31, 1934 in Leonardtown, Maryland to the late Leo Hayden and Sarah Ruth Sterling King.

She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Cooperative Extension Service. She was a member of The Lady Lions, the Venture Club and Epsilon Sigma Phi (ESP) Organization of Extension professionals. Alice was an assistant to the Electrical Examining Board of St. Mary's County for 17 years.

She was survived by one son Michael Kenneth Rigby, of Flemington, NJ, one aunt, Mary Catherine Bell, of Leonardtown, MD, two uncles Kirk Sterling, of Leonardtown, MD and Hugh D. Sterling of White Plains, MD and three grandchildren Jonathan, Kali and Sabrina Rigby. Alice was also survived by her best friend for life Mary Ada Candela. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Rigby and a brother Leo Hayden King, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 16, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 22800 Washington Street, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650. Father John Dakes will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Sterling, Thomas W. Bell, Jr., Frank Bell, Ken Kreamer, Ernie Keller and Ryan Kreamer.
