Lawrence Victor Lucas, age 85, of La Plata, Maryland, died June 20, 2018 at his residence with Hospice. He was the son of Clifton Eugene Lucas and Florence Helen Hooe Lucas. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Amanda Karen Goldey Lucas.

Lawrence was a retired Project Engineer with Verizon, with 45 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newport, Maryland.

Interment with Army Honors at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
