Elizabeth "Mitzi" Kelley, 92, of La Plata, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at her home. Born on December 23, 1925 in Washington, DC to the late John and Betty Figl, Mitzi is also preceded in death by her husband Rex, sister Joanne Bentz and son-in-law John Sherbert. Mitzi was a member of St. Ignatius Church Chapel Point and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a long-time member of the La Plata Lions Club.

She is survived by her seven children Diane Frere (Chuck), Thomas Kelley (Karen), Kathleen Leatherman (Duane), Joan Sherbert, Marianne Buck (Darol), Theresa Hendricks (Patch), and Suzanne Grund (Blake); sister Wilhelmina McNamara of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, MD 20646. Mass will be offered at 10 AM on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church Chapel Point 8855 Chapel Point Road Port Tobacco, MD 20677. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
