Amanda Jacobs was born Amanda Catherine Cannon on December 17, 1987. She is the 4th child of Jospeh P. Cannon, Jr. and Margaret (Peggy) Cannon. Amanda grew up between Fairfax, Virginia, Sheperdsville, Kentucky and Calvert County, Md. Amanda was a very outgoing determine person who enjoyed a challenge. When Amanda graduated early from Huntingtown High School in 2006 she made the decision to follow in her brother, father, and grandfathers footsteps she enlisted enlisted in the United States Military.

Amanda was very proud to be a soldier, and was able to travel to all over the county and even to Japan while in the Army. Then in 2009 Amanda took on the challenge of a lifetime that she loved every minute of; she became a mother to the first of four beautiful daughters. She always wanted to show her girls they could do anything they put their minds to no matter what anyone else said. So in 2016 Amanda took a job unlike anything she had every dreamed up. She started with a construction company and with her attention to detail and ability to learn very quick.

Amanda thrived in this field and became a certified wielder. Amanda was very pride in the fact she worked in a "mans" field. Even though she only stood 5'2", Amanda has a lot of spirit and fight in her. Amanda loved living in the country, so in 2017 Amanda moved to Springfield, Kentucky where sadly she passed away on the morning of April 26, 2018.

She has been reunited with her Father Joseph Cannon, Jr., Grandfathers Joseph Cannon, Sr. and Sherwood Hutchison, Grandmother Catherine Hutchison, and Aunt Patricia Hudson. She is now watching over the family she has left behind: her children Emma Jacobs, Lilly Jacobs, Myah Smith and Carolina Heagler; as well as her mother Margaret (Peggy) Cannon; Brothers Jason Planakis (Cassie), Joseph Cannon III (Andrea), Bradley Cannon (Jessica); sisters Anita Thompson (William), Brittany Cannon; Grandmother Rita Cannon, Grandmother Angela Hutchison as well as 12 nieces and nephews, and many aunts and uncles.

Amanda always had a quick come back and seemed to know just what to say to make someone smile. She would not want anyone to cry because she isn't here anymore but smile knowing she is at peace and finally truly free. She was a good friend, caring sister, loving daughter, and all of the above mother, Amanda will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

A funeral service is being held at St. Mark's Catholic church in Vienna, Virginia on May 19th at 11:00a.m. Please check facebook page for any additional information "Amanda Jacobs Memorial updates."
