Shirley Ann Bader, 81, of Waldorf, Maryland, died on April 23, 2018 at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. Born on September 22, 1936 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Marguerite Christine Money Keeler and William Keeler.
Mrs. Bader worked for over 32 years for the telephone company and retired as a Supervisor. She later worked in a doctor's office for 25 years as a receptionist. In her earlier years, Mrs. Bader enjoyed bowling in local leagues and figure skating on roller skates. She deeply loved being with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Mrs. Bader was an avid Washington Redskins fan and an Honorary Member of the Nations Warriors Motorcycle Club of Washington, DC.
She is survived by her children Katherine A. Bader, Donna Jean Blaso and Joseph W. Bader; grandchildren Richard Scott Bader, Ashley Ann Bader and her fiancée Cleo Davis III; great granddaughter Jalyn Rose Davis; siblings Penny A. Adkins and her husband John E. Adkins, Robert Joseph Keeler and his wife Lorna Keeler; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 5 PM to 8 PM with Service at 7 PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, Maryland 20646. Graveside Service and Interment will be on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11 AM at Resurrection Cemetery 8000 Woodyard Road Clinton, Maryland 20735 (Procession to leave Raymond Funeral Service at 10 AM). Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
