Anne V. Carney, of Leonardtown, MD passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the age of 65. Born in Washington, DC, daughter of Bernadette Eileen Goodbred and Roger Thomas Goodbred. If you knew Anne, you would know that she was going to beat you at Scrabble, Words With Friends, Bananagrams or any other word game. She loved hanging out and had a witty sense of humor. Her eyes could send a message without any words.
Throughout her life, Anne was a hard worker. She excelled at her job and moved into management quickly. However, she was happy to retire and spend time with her grand and great grandchildren. She had a fierce affection for these loves of her life. Anne's real passion was her family and friends. She loved holidays and family parties. She always enjoyed reading a good book or playing games on her phone. She had fun playing board games and going to bingo.
Beloved mother of Kelly Carney of Leonardtown, MD, Rachel (Tom) Maloney of Owings, MD, and Chris (Suzanne) Carney of Hughesville, MD; Loving sister of Tim (Barb) Goodbred of Pittsburgh, PA, John (Sue) Goodbred of PA, Bernie (Brian) Weed of Mountain Home, ID, Cathy (Bryan) Miller of Elizabethtown, PA, Terry (John) Olko of Elizabethtown, PA and the late Roger Goodbred (surviving wife Marge of VA); Dear grandmother of Miranda Carney, Kylie Maloney, and Owen Maloney; great-grandmother of Liam Johnson and Ella Johnson. In addition to her brother, she has been reunited now with her parents where there is guaranteed laughter and love. She made a difference in the life of those she loved. She will be truly missed.
