Mr. Ball was an Electrician for 37 years with Kelly Electric and IBEW Local 26. He coached soccer and basketball for his sons and daughter. He enjoyed going to Bay Sox Baseball games and all sports. He was very involved with his family.

He was son of the late Harold James Ball and the late Elsie May Jackson Ball.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Saundra Lea Main Ball, two sons, David W. Ball of Tempe, AZ and Kevin M. Ball of Waldorf, MD, two daughters, Tracy M. (Rick) Ostopowicz of Catonsville, MD and Carol M. Ball of Waldorf, MD, three brothers, Virgil Ball of Waldorf, MD, Randel Ball of Waldorf, MD, and Phillip Ball of Colorado, and three sisters, Marilyn Simmers of Waldorf, MD, Maureen Frances of Waldorf, MD, and Melinda Hunt of Greenbelt, MD. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from 11am -1pm at Trinity Baptist Church, Waldorf, MD.

A Funeral Service will follow on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 1pm at Trinity Baptist Church, Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD. Clergy will be the Rev. John Farris. Interment will take place at Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers will be David Ball, Rick Ostopowicz, Kevin Ball, Mark Frances, Phillip Simmers, and P.J. Simmers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Randel Ball and Virgil Ball.
