Samantha "Sammie" Lee Hood, 3 years-old, was born on April 10, 2014 to Sabrina and Mark Hood in Prince Frederick, MD. Sammie loved lip gloss and nail polish, playing babies and Barbies, playing with her sister and cousins, helping momma, playing outside, eating good food, going to Myrtle Beach and the board walk at North Beach. She also loved Super Girl and Wonder Woman.

Sammie was predeceased by her grandfathers, Lee Thomas and Donald Hood. Sammie is survived by her parents, Mark Alan Hood and Sabrina Thomas Hood of Huntingtown, MD; her sister, Emma Hood; grandparents, Barbara Brune (Jim) of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Fran "Muffin" Hood of Brandywine, MD; cousins, Raelynn, Kendall, Max, Mitchell and Cole.

Family will receive friends for Sammie's visitation on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 12pm to 3pm with a Funeral Service at 3pm at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a gathering of family and friends immediately following the service at Carl's Farm located at 15615 Carl's Farm Place, Hughesville MD 20637.

In lieu of flowers our family asks that you consider making a donation to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) that cared for Sammie at Children's National Health System.
