Teresa Karnes Wren, of California, MD died Monday, 5 March 2018, at Hospice House of St. Mary's, in Callaway, MD. She was 98. Teresa was a native of Washington, DC, and a graduate of Trinity College (now Trinity Washington University). Her Bachelor of Science degree in physics put her on a career path of working, first, for the Navy's David Taylor Model Basin and later for U.S. Geological Survey of the Dept. of the Interior. It was at the Naval facility that she met her future husband, Edgar Alban Wren, then a Naval officer and later a private-practice lawyer in Washington. Married in 1948, Teresa and Ed enjoyed traveling throughout Europe but especially to Ireland, where they owned a home for many years. Mr. Wren died in 1992. Teresa was a longtime and active member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Trinity College Alumnae Association.
