Pastor Jeffrey Wayne Perry, 49, of Roanoke, VA. died August 8, 2008. Paster Perry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served from 1976 to 1980.

He was the pastor of Riverdale Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA. and pastored three other churches; Antioch Baptist Church in Westbrook, ME, Welcome Baptist Church in Welcome, MD, and as associate pastor at Potomac Heights Baptist Church in Indian Head, MD.

Pastor Perry served as chaplain for the Charles County Sheriff's Office while he was a resident of Charles County. He was a 1976 graduate of Lackey High School, Indian Head. He graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, OK, with a Bachelor's degree in Humanities. He graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY with a Master of Divinity degree. He was a selfless and giving man who enjoyed helping and counseling others.

He and his wife liked to travel, watch movies, and celebrate their Celtic heritage. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Born September 7, 1958 in Long Branch, NJ, he was the son of the late Master Chief Vernon Perry and Donna Perry of Indian Head. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Jacqueline Ann Perry whome he married on Dec. 29, 2001 at Marbury Baptist Church, his son Seth and his wife Tiffany Cross of Lynchburg, VA, his sister Rhonda and her husband Jim Mullendore of Greenbackville, VA, niece Kristy, her husband John Burns and their duaghter Jocelyn Grace of Indian Head, niece Amanda, her husband Eric Weaver and their children Eric Ethan, Jr, and Emily Mae of Indian Head, sister-in-law Arden and her husband Randy Sotomayor of La Plata; brother-in-law Rick and hi swife Edwina Bailey of Greenville, NC., niece Heather, her husband Sean Adams and their son Logan Garrett of Greenville, NC, and nephew Chris Bailey of Wilmington, NC.
