Eleanor Lloyd Baines, age 94, of La Plata, Maryland, died February 13 2018 under the care of Hospice of Charles County. Eleanor worked for 22 plus years with the Submarine Missile Program at the Naval Surface Weapons Station in Dahlgren, Virginia. She was a life-time member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Issue, Maryland and a member of the 2-N-1 Club at the Clark Senior Center in La Plata, Maryland.

She was the daughter of Clarence H. Lloyd and Lillian McWilliams Lloyd. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, James Edward Baines, Sr.; her brother, Leon Lloyd; and her sister, Margaret Burch. She is survived by her son, James E. Baines; her brother, Clarence B. "Bunky" Lloyd.

Friends received on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 10AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at Holy Ghost Issue Catholic Church, 15848 Rock Point Road, Newburg, Maryland 20664. Interment at a later date at the church cemetery. Memorials in Eleanor's name are asked to Hospice of Charles County, 2505 Davis Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20603.
