Frank James Miller, 88, of Leonardtown, MD (formerly of Hollywood, MD) went Home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2018, at St. Mary's Nursing Center in Leonardtown, MD. He was born on April 30, 1929 in Hughes, NC to the late Melvin Miller and Maude Penley Miller.

On June 21, 1948, Frank enlisted in the United States National Guard, Company A, 115th Infantry, and proudly served his country as a Private First Class until his honorable discharge in March 1960. During his service he earned the Sharpshooter – rifle medal and Expert – Rifle medal. He was employed as a grave digger with Catholic Cemeteries for many years before his retirement in 1994. In retirement he and his beloved late wife, Viola Grace Miller, enjoyed travelling out West in their RV. He particularly loved Mesa, AZ. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He particularly loved his pet bull dogs. He was a long time member of Leonardtown Baptist Church and loved to worship the Lord.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Teresa Weeks (Rick) of Hollywood, MD; granddaughters, Allyson Marie Bachman and Hayley Nicole Yeatman; grandson, Brent Michael Weeks; sister, Geneva Orner of Waynesboro, PA; special friend and long-time care giver, Pam Ferris; and many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Frank is also preceded in death by his sister, Pearlene Miller and brother, Burgess Miller.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated by Pastor Mark Dooley on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Leonardtown Baptist Church, 23520 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Mechanicsville, MD. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A.
