Charles Wayne Turner, 87, resident of Charlotte Hall Veterans home died July 28, 2008. Mr. Turner was born on May 5, 1921 in Waterloo, Iowa.

He worked as a Control Director for the Department of the Navy. Mr. Turner was an avid fisherman and hunter. He belonged to the Utah Forest Archery Club, N.R.A. and was in the United States Army Aircorp. during World War II. While in the military Mr. Turner was a Prisoner of War.

He is preceaded in death by his parents Charles and Etta Turner, wife Betty Mae Turner Brothers Carlton Turner, Step Brother Harold Turner and his Step Sister Eva Turner.

He is survived by his daughter's Sandra Woodward and her husband Gregory, Ada Panciarelli and her husband Dominic. He is also survived by his Grandchildren Heather, Kevin, Colleen, and Elizabeth.

On Friday August 22, 2008 There will be a memorial mass at 10am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church LaPlata, Md. Followed by interment at the Arlington National Cemetery.
