Mrs. Clements was a longtime member of the Civista Ladies Auxiliary at Civista Hospital. She was also a member of the Bel Alton Homemakers Club and the 2N1 Club of La Plata, MD.

She was daughter of the late Frank Simms and the late Pauline Shorter Simms.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Robert L. Clements, Sr., and one son, Robert L. Clements, Jr., four sisters, and six brothers.

She is survived by her three sons, T. Gerald (Emmy Lou) Clements of La Plata, MD, John F. (Patricia) Clements of Newport News, VA, and C. Freddie (Dorothy) Clements of La Plata, MD, two daughters, Denise (James) Aorilio of La Plata, MD , and Patricia C. (Archie) Jameson of Hughesville, MD, two sisters, Sister Denise Simms, and Evelyn Weisbrod. Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2008 from 10am-12pm at St. Mary's Church at Newport, 11555 St. Mary's Church Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.

A Funeral Service will follow on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 12pm at St. Mary's Church at Newport, Charlotte Hall, MD. Interment will take place at the Church Cemetery. Clergy will be the Msgr. Oliver McGready. Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
