![]() Phyllis Marie Olsavsky, 82, of Lothian, MD, died July 28, 2008 at her residence. She was born January 12, 1926 in Washington, D.C., and raised in the Washington area.
She spent her summers in St. Mary's County with her grandparents and other members of the McKay family. She worked as a secretary and administrative assistant for an elevator company in Prince George's County, MD, retiring in the 1980's. She married John Francis Olsavsky on August 12, 1963, and they had lived for the past seven years in Lothian until his death on March 8 of this year. They had previously lived on a farm on Crandell Road in Anne Arundel County where they raised cattle. She was a member of Smithville United Methodist Church in Dunkirk, and also attended a bible study group that met at Trinity Episcopal Church in Upper Marlboro, MD. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and tending to her pond raised goldfish. She played piano, and enjoyed entertaining and parties. She was preceded in death by her husband John, parents Chester T. and Pearl McKay Green, and a sister Mary Mildred Harrison. She is survived by a niece, June Ladner of Richmond, TX, her uncle James Manning McKay and his wife Mary of Hollywood, MD, her sister-in-law Martha O.
