James "Jim" Arthur Davis Sr., 67, of Hughesville, Maryland, passed away on July 26, 2017. Jim was born on January 8, 1950 to the late Arthur A. Davis and Dorothy E. Springman Davis. He worked as a Stagehand at the Kennedy Center and had recently retired after 40 years of service. Jim was a member of the I.A.T.S.E, Local 22. He enjoyed bass fishing on the Potomac River, wood working, including making furniture, coaching baseball at Suitland High School and P.G.C.C., and especially loved practical jokes.

Jim is survived by his wife, Laurie B. White Davis; his daughter, Lisa M. Cole (Robert); his sons, James A. "JD" Davis, Jr. (Michelle), William A. "Rocky" Davis, his grandchildren, Jessica J. Bennett, Robert W. Cole, Benjamin L. Cole, Ryley E. Davis, Stella E .Davis, and his great grandchildren, Julius J. Ruddy and Mckenzi A. Cole. He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Michelle E. Bennett.

Family will receive friends for Visitation on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM with a Funeral Service at 2:00PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Interment will be private. Memorial donations in Jim's name may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
