James Bales, 82, of Port Tobacco died June 30, 2008 at his Home. Mr. Bales was a field representative for Bendix corp. He was U.S. Navy Veteran.

Born July 9, 1925, in New York he was the son of the late Constantino Bales and the late Irene Bales. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Marc Bales.

He is survived by his sons, Paul Bales and John Bales; daughter-in-law, Lisa Bales, companion, Louise Dana; brother Constantine Kollitvs, and grandchildren, Austin, Julia, Corbin, Sydney and Brynn.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm. July 8, 2008 at the AREHART-ECHOLS FUNERAL HOME, P.A., La Plata, Maryland. A service will be held at 12:30 pm July 9 at AREHART-ECHOLS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. Burial will take place at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Charles County, P.O. Box 1707, La Plata, MD 20646.
