Mrs. Crouse was a Retired Librarian with the Charles County Library for 22 years. She had also worked for 15 years with the Old Waldorf Florist. In her young years, when she lived in Virginia, she had worked for the Radford Arsenal in Radford, Virginia. She was a member of the Catholic faith and enjoyed gardening.

She was the daughter of the late Willie Walter Culver and the late Ellen Elizabeth Johnson Culver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, L. Gene Crouse, and one son, William Gregory "Buster" Crouse.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda B. (Joseph) Smith of Waldorf, MD, and Melanie Elizabeth Crouse of Hollywood, MD, one brother, William E. Culver of Waynesville, NC, and three sisters, Eleanor Launius of Jackson, MS, Claire Eikenberg of Kingsville, MD, and Anita Hager of Dahlonega, GA. Also survived by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Gathering will take place on Monday, July 14, 2008 from 6-7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

A Funeral Service will follow on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Clergy will be the Deacon Johnny Barnes.

Interment will take place at Wake Forest Cemetery in Wake Forest, NC at a later date.
