Billy Gene Gurley, 75, of Lexington Park, MD died June 20, 2008 in St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.

Born May 2, 1933 in Carroll County, TN, he was the son of the late William Lloyd Gurley and Offie Jane Dunavan Gurley. Mr. Gurley served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1978. He worked for the Test Pilot School at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station from 1978 until his retirement in 1998.

He is survived by two daughters, Vicki Lynn Vail of Lexington Park, MD, Felicia Robin Connelly of FL, two grandchildren, two sisters, Janie M. Lawler of Flint, MI, Irene Williams of McMinnville, TN and a brother Robert Lee Gurley of Atwood, TN.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Great Mills, MD.
