Woody Ward, 74, of Mechanicsville, MD entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Washington Hospital Center. He was born on January 9, 1943 in Pennsylvania to Woody Ward and Genevieve Blakely Ward.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara; 3 children, Woody Ward, Maria Butler and Rosetta McKinney (Kevin); five siblings, Bill Ward, James Ward, Marjorie Goodwin, Doris Ward and Betty Alexander; grandchildren, James Garrett, Marcus Sullivan, Marcellus Butler and Ireanan Ward and two great-great grandchildren, Nevaett Cole and Joyce Garrett.

Family and friends will unite on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 for visitation at 10 am until time of service at 11 am at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, 38576 Brett Way, Mechanicsville, MD. Interment to follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Arrangements by Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home.
