James Edwards "Eddie" Hicks III, 36, a native of Leonardtown, MD died Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in Rocklin, CA,

Born August 21, 1970 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of Mary Angela Duke Hicks of Louisville, KY and the late James Edwards Hicks, Jr. Eddie moved to California in 1994.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son Jacob Edwards Hicks, age 7 years old, 9 sisters and brothers, Deborah Lee Thompson, James Michael Hicks, Sr., Mary Lou Lumpkins, Melinda Ann Palmese, Christopher Tracey Hicks, Jennifer Kay Oliver, Amanda Eileen Koenig, Victoria Hicks Springer and Pamela Ann Graves, He is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 27, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St Aloysius Church. The Reverend Keith Woods will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Old St. Aloysius Church Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to join the family immediately following the services at Olde Breton Inn, Leonardtown, Md.
