Doris "Betty" Edelen, 74, of Bryantown, Maryland entered into paradise on December 10, 2016 at the University of Maryland, Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. Betty was born on April 18, 1942 in Washington, D.C. to the late James and Dorothy Proctor. Betty was predeceased by her husband Louis Edelen (Brother Baby); brother Joseph Proctor (Big Shot); sisters, Regina Thompson and Rosemary Poteat.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Louis Kenneth Edelen (Kim), Valerie Morgan (Donald); grandchildren; Anthony 'TJ' Thompson (Elaine), Daryl Thompson, LaDashia Sharp-Edelen, Donte Morgan, Al Davis and Justin Thompson, great grandchildren; Jordan and Elijah Thompson; brothers, James Proctor (Dora, Thomas Proctor, and John Proctor (Mary).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. services at 11:00 a.m. at the Hughesville Baptist Church, 8505 Old Leonardtown Road, Hughesville, MD 20623. Arrangements by Adams Funeral Home.
