Willard Norman Stringer of Waldorf, Maryland formerly of Harlingen, Texas, died on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the Genesis La Plata Center. He was 87 years old. Born on August 2, 1929 in Chandler Township, Michigan he was the son of the late Margaret B. and Leslie S. Stringer. Mr. Stringer served in the U. S. Navy. He was also an electrician for the Cross Company for many years. Mr. Stringer enjoyed golfing and traveling cross country in an R.V. with his wife.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Theresa M. Stringer and daughter Dawn Stringer. Mr. Stringer is survived by his sons Timothy Stringer of Ray Township, MI and Michael Stringer of Waldorf, MD; grandchildren Jason, Eric, Ryan Stringer, Melissa Waller, Brittany Fields, Victoria Burke and Emily Stringer; great grandchildren Aiden Burke and baby Burke.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM with a Funeral Service at 2:30 PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will take place at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172. Arrangements by Raymond Funeral Service.
