George Wilbur Johnson, Sr., 76, of Callaway, MD passed away on November 23, 2016 in Mechanicsville. George was born on September 25, 1940 to the late Harry Johnson and Viola Cox Johnson. He worked with commercial kitchen equipment in the construction industry. George enjoyed fishing, watching football and baseball and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

George is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Eugene Johnson. He is survived by his sons, George W. Johnson, Jr., Larry S. Johnson; his brother, Harry Johnson; sisters, Barbara Ridgeway, Ellen Andrews, Anna Tolliver and Aggie Flock. George is also survived by his grandchildren, Colt, Tera, Dylan and Lorin; one great grandchild, Rhett and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for Visitation Monday, November 28, 2016 11AM to 1 PM with a Funeral Service at 1PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Interment will be at 2:30PM, Monday, November 28, 2016 at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.
