Mrs. Davis was a Librarian with the Sumter County, South Carolina school system for 20 years. She was a member of Swan Lake Presbyterian Church in South Carolina, Memorial Congregational Church in New York, and Good Samaritan Presbyterian Church in Waldorf, Md. She was a volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association and Catholic Charities. She enjoyed painting, quilting, sewing, and reading.

She was the daughter of the late Henry Peel Greenwood and the late Jennie Mary Nelson Greenwood.

She was predeceased by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harry L. Davis, one son, Lynn (Patricia) Davis of Liverpool, NY, one daughter, Janet Zilch of Waldorf, Md., three grandchildren, Matthew Davis, Ellen and Robert Zilch, and one great grandchild, Ethan McMeans.

A Gathering will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 6-8pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Md.

A Memorial Service will follow on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Clergy will be the Rev. Don Benjamin. Interment will be private.
