Daniel Adolph Thompson Jr (Danny) was born April 26, 1944 to the late Daniel A. Sr. & Frances Thompson (Short). He entered into eternal rest on June 8, 2008 at the age of 64 at St Mary's Nursing Center in Leonardtown MD.

Danny attended Pomonkey High School. After graduating, he enlisted in the US Army and served during the Vietnam era. He was employed by John Mattingly, Construction as a Superintendent. Later he joined the American Legion, Post #170. He recently attended First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev, R. W. McClanahan and considered himself "an honorary member."

He is survived by his wife, Diann, daughter, Bridget, son, Daniel III, sisters Elaine Rodriquez and Frances (Tillie) Thompson, uncle, Joseph Thompson (Connie) and aunts, Pearl Furey and Mildred Thompson, niece, Renee, nephews, Joseph, Michael and Antony and a host of family, friends and acquaintances.

His viewing will take place on Thursday, June 12th 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, MD and on Friday, June 13th 10:00am until home going services 11:00am at First Missionary Baptist Church, 47359 Lincoln Avenue, Lexington Park, MD. Interment Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, Maryland.
