![]() Lloyd Irving "Lloydie" Hunt of Newburg, Maryland, died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He was 48 years old.
Born on December 13, 1959 in Cheverly, Maryland, he was the son of Betty Darlene Guss Reid of Owings, MD and the late Raymond Lee Hunt. He served in the U. S. Army before being Honorably Discharged in 1979. He was a Sheet Metal Mechanic for the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 100. He loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, being with family and friends. He is described as a simple guy with a great sense of humor who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. His famous saying was "who loves ya?". In addition to his mother and step-father Ronald Reid, he is survived by his daughters Betty Darlene Hunt-Sanchez and her husband Jacob of Fuquay Varina, NC and Liza Marie Hunt of San Antonio, TX; his fiancé Angela C. Hendrix of Newburg, MD; step-daughter Hayley Irene Hendrix of Newburg, MD; step-son Jesse Hendrix of Newburg, MD; brothers Mike Hunt, Rick Hunt and Ronnie Reid; grandchildren Jacob Anthony Sanchez, Jacob Hunt, Deanna Cortez, Eternity Almaguer, Divina Cortez, Seriah Hunt, Marcus Sanchez, Maddix Gonzalez and America Sanchez. Visitation on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from 5PM - 8PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, MD 20646 where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 12:30PM with the Pastor Tony Wright. Interment to follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD. Pallbearers are his brothers Mike Hunt, Rick Hunt, and Ronnie Reid, grandson Jacob Hunt, step-son Jesse Hendrix, uncles Pete Richards and Denny Guss and good friend Eddie Murphy.
