Harvey "Topper" James Stine Jr., 73, of Issue, MD passed away on October 18, 2016 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. Born on March 10, 1943 in La Plata, MD to the late Harvey J. Stine, Jr. and the late Ann O'Kelley Stine, Topper is also preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Tilley. He is survived by his nieces, Angel Hindle (Buddy) and Charlene Jones; and nephew, David Bowie.

Topper was a Pile Driver and a Waterman. He loved watching the Washington Redskins, spending time on the water and being around children.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 3PM to 5PM at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD, where a Memorial Service will begin at 5PM; Father Kosty to officiate. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Dept., 17069 Cobb Island Rd., Cobb Island, MD 20625.
