James Lester "Jim" Crimmins, 63, of Lexington Park, MD died June 3, 2008 in Fairfax, VA. Born April, 17, 1945 in Little Falls, NY he was the son of the late Augustus Bernard Crimmins and the late Hilda Mae Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Doris Faye Lankford Crimmins on January 26, 1997 whom he married in Solomons, MD on August 20, 1966. He was also preceded in death by one son, Michael F. Crimmins; and sisters Eleanor Mandara and Mary Sadlon.

He is survived by his children: James V. Crimmins of Pasadena, MD, Bernard S. Crimmins of Alliance, OH, and Corinne Crimmins of Lexington Park, MD; siblings; Charles Crimmins and Gordon Crimmins both of Little Falls, NY, Judy Metz of Ilion, NY; four grandchildren; and Carolyn Ommert of Arlington, VA with whom Jim had spent over the last ten years of his life.

Jim grew up in Little Falls, NY and moved to St. Mary's County when he joined the Navy in 1964. He served his country honorably until 1984 when he retired from the Navy. Jim went on to work as a civilian for the Navy as an Electrical Engineer until his retirement in June of 1997. Jim loved golfing, fishing, and traveling.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 9, 2008 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the Rausch Funeral Home, Lusby, MD where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Solomons, MD with Fr. Richard Gardiner officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be James V. Crimmins, Bernard Crimmins, Erik Frazier, Alvin Frazier, Charles Crimmins, and Alan Sadlon.
