Eric Thomas Askins, 17, of Hollywood, MD passed away on October 9, 2016. Born on October 20, 1998 in Prince Frederick, MD, he was the loving son of Laura "Laurie" Kimberly Quade Askins and Joseph "Joe" Mitchell Askins of Hollywood, MD. Eric is survived by his brother, Travis Joseph Askins of Hollywood, MD and grandmother, Nancy Irene Quade. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Martin Allen Quade, Loretta Askins and Mitchell Askins.

Eric graduated from Great Mills High School in 2016 and was student at University of Maryland Baltimore County. He was a lifeguard and lifelong county resident.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. John's Catholic Church Hollywood, MD with Father Ray Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Arrangements by Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home.
