Leroy H. Humphreys, 85, of Port Republic, MD passed away on June 6, 2008. Born May 14, 1923 in Wallville, MD to the late Howard M. and Catherine Gott Humphreys.

Leroy served in the Army during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #274 and the DAV. He worked as a distributor for the Washington Posy for 30 years and a farmer for 20 years. He loved to go hunting, especially rabbits and deer and fishing.

Beloved husband of Catherine P. Humphreys of Port Republic, MD, and father of Donna Lynn Humphreys and Marcia Lea Haynes, both of Port Republic, MD. Grandfather of Christina Marie Haynes and Tony Humphreys. His sister, Mary Evelyn Pineault of Prince Frederick, MD, and a brother Kenneth Marvin Humphreys of Stuart Fla. also survive him.

The family will receive friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, P.A., 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD on Monday June 9, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where services will be held on Tuesday June 10, 2008 at 11 A.M. Interment will follow in Waters Memorial Cemetery.
