![]() Mary Wilson Jones of Waldorf, Maryland formerly of Cinnaminson, New Jersey died at her residence on Saturday, May 31, 2008. She was 91 years old.
Born on March 7, 1917 just outside of Jet, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Nellie Janette Wilcoxen Wilson and Joseph Homer Wilson and was raised on the family's ranch. She attended school and college and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in education. She taught elementary school in Amaretto, OK, Hazelton, KS and later in St. Petersburg, FL before retiring. She moved from Florida to Corvallis, Oregon where she bred and showed Lakeland Terriers and was a member of the Terrier Association of Oregon. Later she moved to Cinnaminson, NJ where she was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, especially involved in the Interfaith Care Program where she visited other adults needing care, comfort and companionship. She loved animals, gardening, traveling including going to England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany and Hawaii, fishing, reading and being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard D. Jones; one son Kirby Keith Tucker; one daughter Nancy Jane Agee; four brothers Rodney Wilson, Max Wilson, Kelly Wilson, and Keith Wilson. She is survived by her daughter Sally Ann Lundeen; grandchildren Bradley Agee, Blythe Holechek, Dirk Tucker, Lisa Sapper, Nancy K. Jenkins, Deborah Essing and Christopher Johnson; nine great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held in Oklahoma at a later date with interment at Byron Amaretto Cemetery.
