James was a long time cook for many restaurants in the Waldorf area. He was an avid Redskins, NASCAR, and Washington Wizards fan. He was recently saved by a brother of Bethel Baptist Church.

Son of the late William Richard Ganoe, Sr. and the living Mary Catherine Harrison Ganoe.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survived by his mother, Mary C. Ganoe, one sister, Ann Smith of Waldorf, Md., and six brothers, Charles (Dawn) Smith of Bryans Road, Md., Michael Smith of Mich., William (Ester) Ganoe, Jr., of Florida, Joseph and Richard Ganoe, both of Waldorf, Md., and Robert (Catherine) Ganoe of Mechaniscville, Md.

Visitation on Monday, June 2, 2008 from 10am-12 Noon at Bethel Baptist Church, Ripley, Md.

Funeral Service on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 12 Noon at Bethel Baptist Church.

Interment will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Md. Clergy is the Rev. Steve Corbett. Pallbearers will be family members.
