Frances Marie Jackson, age 73, formerly of Chesapeake Beach, died May 30, 2008 at Calvert County Nursing Center in Prince Frederick.

She was born and raised in Calvert County, and graduated from Calvert High School. She married Gerald B. "Jack" Jackson April 2, 1969. They lived and raised their family in Chesapeake Beach and were active in the Stallings-Williams American Legion Post 206, where she served in the Ladies Auxiliary Unit 206 for many years. A homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting and reading.

Daughter of the late Francis James and Bertha Mae Bowen Tarry, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 1994, and her brothers Stephen and Frank Tarry.

She is survived by daughters Pamela Amster of Lothian, Lisa Colman and her husband Gerry of Hampstead, MD and Lorrie Sheppard and her husband James of York, PA.

She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, a great-grandson, sisters Patricia Tucker of North Beach and Danica Tarry of Ashburn, VA, and a brother William Tarry of Holland Point.
