Angelo Carey DeRight, Jr., 79, of Port Republic, MD passed away at home on May 25, 2008 Born August 4, 1928 in Panama, Illinois to the late Angelo and Jennie Vittone DeRight, Sr.

He severed in the Army from 1952 to 1956, and worked for the Federal Government in the U.S. Treasury, Dept. of Agriculture and the Patent Office. He was a Charter member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.

Angelo loved anything to do with the outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing and crabbing, and working in his workshop, fixing and making things. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them, just enjoying their company.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Rose (Ricchiuti) DeRight, and father of Jean Marie DalBello and her husband Tonio of Owings, MD, Angelo Salvatore DeRight and his wife Jan of Lanham, MD, Anthony Joseph DeRight of Port Republic, MD and Jeannette Rose Pakenham and her husband Thomas of Edgewater, MD. Grandfather of Matt DalBello and his wife Brandy, Chrissy DalBello, T.J., Becky, and Vinnie DeRight and Christopher, Austin, and Brandon DeRight. One great grandchild, Aubrey DalBello and two sisters, Angie DeRight and Clara Lesicko, also survive him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 28, 2008 from 3-7 P.M. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Prince Frederick MD where mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday may 29, 2008 at 11 A.M. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randy McCoy, Mike McCoy, Arron McCoy, Greg DeRight, Tony DiNenna, and Tom Pakenham.
