Kathryn Ann Chick, 64, of Waldorf, MD passed away on June 25, 2016 in La Plata, MD. She was born in La Plata, MD on September 13, 1951 to the late Joseph Cooksey and the late Thelma Istvan Cooksey.

Kathryn graduated from Lackey High School in 1969. She retired in 1998 from the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, MD. Kathryn worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital before transferring to the Navy. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed bargain shopping, the senior exercise program at Jaycees and CSM, and traveling with family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, Ted Chick; son, Timothy A. Chick (Rebecca); grandchildren, Yvonne, Zachariah, Genavieve and Triston.

Family will receive friends for Kathryn's visitation on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 2-4pm and from 6-8pm with prayers at 7pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617 with Father Cezary Kozubek. Interment will follow at the Church cemetery.
