Richard Allen Harris "Richie" 47 of Nanjemoy, MD died unexpectedly on June 12, 2016 in Washington, DC. He was born on January 22, 1969 in Washington, DC to the late Glenn B. and Helen S. (Barrett) Harris. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Robert L." TataBugg" Rainey.

Richie is survived by his wife, Susan D. Rainey-Harris; children, Amanda Lynn Cupp (James), Brandon Allen Harris (Shelby), Kailen Richard Harris, Benjamin Robert-Gage Harris, Matthew Charles Reed (Amy); siblings, Craig Harris (Pam), Kenny Harris (Brandy), Vicki Willett (Scott), Brian Harris (Sarah); many nieces and nephews and grandchildren, Madison, LeeLynn, Lily'Ann, and Logan; mother-in-law Pat Corder of Camden, SC and sister-in-law Edna M. Rainey.

Richie worked for PEPCO over the past 15 years in various areas over his career. He was a member of the Maryland Point Baptist Church. He enjoyed many outdoor activities like fishing, hunting, coaching t-ball and playing softball. Bowling was another passion of his and he played on a league for many years... He also had a special love for his grandchildren. They will forever miss there PawPaw.

The family will receive friends on Sunday June 19, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La PLata, MD 20646 and on Monday from 10 AM until service time at 12 Noon at the Maryland Point Baptist Church, 11790 Maryland Point Rd., Nanjemoy, MD 20662.
