Michael Douglas "Doug" Patton, 65, of Waldorf, Maryland died June 5, 2016.

Doug was an auto mechanic at Maryland National Capitol Parks & Planning and was a veteran of the United States Army where he received a National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star; Marksman (K79 Grenade Launcher), Expert (M-14 Rifle), Expert (M16 Rifle), and Combat Infantryman. He was also a member of Shiloh Methodist Church in Bryans Road, Maryland.

He was the son of Prince Albert Patton and Iva Pauline Patterson Patton. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Robert and Jeff Patton. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sandra Ann Evans Patton; his sons, Michael W. Patton (Gabby) and Christopher M. Patton; his daughter, Kathryne N. Patton; his brother, Keith Patton (Christine); his sisters, Gayle Livingston (Van) and Charlene Sorrells (Tommy); and his grandchildren, Jade and Adria.

Friends received on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 5-8PM with Funeral Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Interment at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery with full Army honors. Memorials are asked to Hospice of Charles County, 2505 Davis Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20603.
