Laymon Tucker, 81, of Lexington Park, MD died October 17, 2006 in Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC.

Born July 27, 1925 in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of the late William Tucker and Eliza Crowder Tucker. Mr. Tucker served his country in the U.S. Navy retiring with more than 27 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Leona Sara Tucker of Lexington Park, MD, three daughters, Linda Martinez of Leesburg, VA, Lisa Tucker and Leslie Tucker both of Lexington Park, MD, one grandchild, four sisters, Lethia Newton of Ft. Washington, MD, Adell Cobb and Lottie Rogers both of Atlanta, GA, Catherine Tucker of Waldorf, MD and three brothers, James Tucker of Temple Hills, MD, Shelton Tucker of Los Angeles, CA and Roosevelt Tucker of Atlanta, GA.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 23, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Cemetery in Lexington Park, MD.
