Stephen Cord "Steve" O'Brien, 46, of Mechanicsville, MD formerly of Waldorf, MD passed away May 19, 2016. He was born December 4, 1969 in Washington, DC to John Alexander and Regina Cord O'Brien of Upper Marlboro, MD.

He was a 1988 graduate of Largo High School and then Prince George's Community College. He was on the soccer team and was active in street hockey leagues. With his family, he would go snow skiing and vacation summers in Bethany Beach.

On July 12, 1997, Steve married his beloved wife, Pamela Jeanne (Ort) O'Brien in Mitchellville, MD. Together, they celebrated over 18 wonderful years of marriage.

He was employed as a dedicated Account Manager/ Landscaper by Level Green Landscaping. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially cheering on Jeff Gordon. He was a fan of the Washington Capitols, Redskins, and Nationals teams. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He was a dedicated, devoted, and loving husband and father.

In addition to his loving parents and beloved wife he is also survived by his children, Alexander Martin O'Brien and Zachary Stephen O'Brien, both of Mechanicsville, MD; his brother, Timothy Casey O'Brien of Beverly Beach, MD; his niece Casey Nicole O'Brien; his In-Laws, Martin Robert Ort and Jeanne Marie Ort of Charlotte Hall, MD; and many cousins, extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with prayers recited at 7:00 p.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Keith Woods on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 29119 Point Lookout Road, Morganza, MD 20660. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, MD
