She was a sales clerk with the P. S. Bowling Department Store in La Plata, MD for 25 years. She was member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church Chapel Pt. and the 2N1 Club at the Clark Senior Center La Plata, MD. She enjoyed going to the book fairs at the Charles County Library, playing cards, crossword puzzles, reading and sewing.

Daughter of the late Peter Anthony Schroeder and the late Ruth Arlene Nelson Schroeder.

Predeceased by her parents; husband Cotton Gibbons; brother William Schroeder.

Survived by daughters Debby A. (John) Murphy of Mechanicsville, MD, Deanna E. Hutchinson of Lake Helen, FL, Denise B. (Ray) Brinjak of Charlotte Hall, MD and Mary Ruth Bowling-Meza of White Plains, MD; sisters Jeanne Blake of Virginia and Phyllis Moran of Delaware; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.

Visitation on Thursday, May 22, 2008 5-8PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. La Plata, MD.

Service on Friday, May 23, 2008 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Interment at Old Fields Church Cemetery Hughesville, MD.
