Everett Grant "Eddie" Hoile, age 82, of Owings, MD, died Saturday May 17, 2008 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, Maryland after a lengthy illness.

He was born June 29, 1925 in Washington D.C., and raised in the Washington suburbs in Prince George's County, where he attended public school. He married Mary Elizabeth Wells on December 14, 1956, and they made their home and raised their family in Calvert County.

He was employed as a brickmason and later a carpenter, and retired from the Bressler and Rymer Construction Company in 1987. He was a former member of the Prince Frederick Elks Lodge 2620. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, fishing, his pet cat "Little Girl", and was devoted to his family, especially his grandson Eric.

He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Bonnie S. Bates and Sherri L. Brady, his son-in-law Billy Brady, a grandson Eric Buckmaster, and nephews Ronnie and Bobby Hoile. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles E. and Minnie Myers Hoile, and his brother Charles E. Hoile, Jr.
