Thomas Purcell Proctor, 91, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 in Washington, D.C. He was born in Washington, DC on August 17, 1924 to the late William Joseph Proctor and the late Cora Linkins Proctor.

Thomas worked as a truck driver for a sand and gravel company, bus driver and later had his own business as a Trash Service Company, which he ran until his retirement. He was a great lover of dogs.

Thomas was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Montrue Proctor; daughter, Cassandra Ann; five brothers and five sisters. Thomas is survived by his current wife of 22 years, Marian Joyce Proctor; daughters, Pamela Jean Sarvis (Jerry), Susan Camille Proctor; sons, James Francis Proctor, Thomas Keith Proctor (Kim), stepson, Charles R. Robinson, James Richard Hamor, William Irvin Hamor; grandsons, Scott, Joseph; and granddaughter, Amanda.

Family will receive friends for Thomas's Life Celebration Visitation on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 5-8pm with prayers at 7pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 29119 Point Lookout Road, Morganza, MD 20660 with Father Keith Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home.
