Zackary Louis Baker Sr. departed this life on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, Maryland. Zack, as he was called by his family and friends, was born on September 22, 1958 in Bryans Road, Maryland to the late Clarence and Rosie Baker.

Zack gave his life to the Lord at an early age at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pomfret, Maryland. He married Joyce Marie Medley and from this union Stephanie Nealy (Gary) was born. Zack was also the father of Zatecea Baker, Jeffery Baker, Zackary Baker, Jr., and stepson James Woodland.

Zack was educated in the Charles County Public School system. After graduating from Lackey High School in 1976, he attended TESST Electronic School and later received his CDL license, which he really enjoyed. He later worked at Post Offices in the Silver Spring, Maryland and Pax River Base where he retired after 15 years of service.

Zack enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing pitch, and Wii with the boys. He was able to fix ANYTHING. He was a wonderful parent and friend to all, especially his family. His easygoing personality and charming smile made him a best friend to many. He was always joking around having fun. He also was a faithful Dallas Cowboy fan, win or lose!

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Joyce, daughters Stephanie Nealy (Gary) and Zatecea Baker, sons Jeffery Baker, Zackary Baker, Jr., stepson James Woodland and ten grandchildren. His memories will also be cherished by his brothers, Aubrey and Hillary (Cynthia), sisters, Shirley Greene (James), Martha Grant (Leroy), Raina Taylor, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
