Bruce Alan Butler, 47, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away at his residence in Mechanicsville, MD on February 27, 2016. Born May 10, 1968 to Celverster "Cy" Grover Butler and Diana Preston Butler in Washington, D.C.

Bruce enjoyed spending time with his children, NASCAR, target shooting, drawing cartoons, and the ocean. Bruce was a Certified Electrician and a computer whiz.

Bruce was predeceased by his grandmothers, Sybil Adkins Butler and Emogene Preston.

Bruce is survived by his parents, his children, Jessica, Grayson and Weston Butler; sister, Sandi Junge (Mike), niece, Amanda Junge, nephews, Christopher (Katie), Jason, Jeffrey, and great nephew Connor Junge; grandfather Willard Preston, Sr. "Papa" ; uncles, David Adkins (Debbie), Jimmy Adkins, Willard Preston, Jr. (Cindy); aunts, Phyllis Mandley (Lewis), Vickie Howard, Pat Peddicord (Jack), Debbie Russell (Walter), Debbie Proffitt (Roy), Judy Crisp (Sonny), Cindy Bond (Allen), Renee Kravats, along with many cousins and friends.

Family will receive friends for Bruce's Memorial Gathering on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a celebration of life at 11:00 AM at the Hughesville Baptist Church, 8505 Old Leonardtown Road, Hughesville, MD 20637.
